This guide helps owners/operators and Masters produce fair and balanced conditions of use (COU) terms, in order to promote a safety culture in port.

The purpose of this Guide is to assist staff and operators serving on board oil, chemical and gas tankers to prepare for a vessel's SIRE 2.0 ship inspection by providing a greater understanding of the requirements of the SIRE 2.0 questionnaire. This Guide should be used in conjunction with the latest OCIMF-SIRE 2.0 Question Libraries.
