PSSR training forms part of seafarers’ basic training in accordance with the STCW Code. Entry into enclosed spaces is recommended as preliminary seafarer training and shipboard safety officer training is required by the MCA to meet CoSWP Health and Safety requirements. The aim of the book is to provide seafarers with the necessary knowledge, understanding and proficiency to protect and maintain their own and others’ safety at sea.
