We believe seafarers deserve access to career and life-enhancing education, wherever they are in the world.
We help Royal Navy, Royal Marine and Royal Fleet Auxiliary personnel to get ahead through our tailored distance learning programmes - so no matter where you are in the world, you will never miss out on an opportunity to learn new skills and gain qualifications.
WHY STUDY WITH US?
We have partnered with leading distance learning providers who offer experienced and proactive subject-specialist support. We're the number one choice for RN/RM/RFA personnel studying at sea. We've been delivering learning solutions for Royal Navy personnel for generations and pride ourselves on our customer service standards.
Value for money
Thanks to our partnership with Greenwich Hospital, we can offer reduced prices for your learning. You can also use your RN Standard Learning Credits to reduce the cost further; contact your Education Centre for more information.
There are no set dates so you can enrol at any time during the year. The courses are flexible and can fit around your work and family commitments. Exam dates are set but you can work through the study material at your own pace.
Free online resources
You can easily access learning resources and important documents through our Virtual Learning Environment (VLE). A personal learning platform will be created for you upon enrolling, giving you the ability to access the materials you need.
As a registered exam centre, we can enter you for the exams and take care of the paperwork. We can also arrange for exams to be taken at sea, on your Navy base or when deployed.
Oxford Open Learning (OOL)
OOL are one of the UK's leading distance providers. They provide comprehensive learning resources and experienced tutors that work with you throughout your studies. You will receive proactive and flexible support, whether learning on land or at sea.
We are regularly monitored by Ofsted; our current grade is GOOD.
To purchase a course, you must be a registered user of this website so that we can communicate with you and start you on the enrolment process. If not already registered, you will be prompted at check-out.
You will pay a deposit payment and receive an email with further details about the application process. Full payments will be taken once we have received your application form.
All those purchasing I/GCSE and AS and A Level courses will be expected to complete a pre-course programme, that may last up to 4 weeks before receiving your chosen course materials. The pre-course programme consists of activities and guidance to ensure that you are enrolled on to the right course and that your are ready to undertake a distance learning course.
